Alright, so some of you may be wondering what “ube” is and let us tell you! Bringing it back to our  roots, Ube is a purple yam popular in the Philippines. It has a delicious mild sweet taste that needed to tried as a pancake! This contest was a way to get unique and creative and this was a great choice to introduce the unheard greatness of UBE!  If you are already familiar with it, you must try this out. The hints of sweet yam seeps through the pancake batter to give an unexpected/familiar taste in each bite. We’ve paired it with coconut mascarpone frosting for extra creamy yummyness!

We’ve received several entries for this flavor but we had to be fair and give it to the first person we received it from: CONGRATULATIONS to Paul Del Mundo!! You’ll be receiving these pancakes free for this month! AND A BIG SPECIAL THANKS to all who particpated! We received some really fantastic and creative flavors and it was tough to decide through all the ideas! Maybe you’ll get to see yours in the future

We’ll be debuting Ube Mini Pancakes with Coconut Mascarpone Frosting this Tuesday. Get your taste before the month ends!
