UBE PANCAKES!

ubepancake

Alright, so some of you may be wondering what “ube” is and let us tell you! Bringing it back to our  roots, Ube is a purple yam popular in the Philippines. It has a delicious mild sweet taste that needed to be tried as a pancake! This contest was a way to get unique and creative so UBE was a great choice to introduce its unheard greatness!  If you are already familiar with it, you must try this out. The hints of sweet yam seeps through the pancake batter to give an unexpected/familiar taste in each bite. We’ve paired it with coconut mascarpone frosting for extra creamy yummyness!

We’ve received several entries for this flavor but we had to be fair and give it to the first person who entered: CONGRATULATIONS to Paul Del Mundo!! You’ll be receiving these pancakes free for this month! AND A BIG SPECIAL THANKS to all who participated! We received some really fantastic and creative flavors and it was tough to decide through all the ideas! Maybe you’ll get to see yours in the future ;)

We’ll be debuting Ube Mini Pancakes with Coconut Mascarpone Frosting this Tuesday. Get your taste before the month ends!
